Brothers!

Adam put his step stool next to Gabes bassinet and started to step up and show Gabe some of his toys... He also showed him some books!!

Reading Time

Adam pulled all the shoes out of our shoe basket then grabbed his 2 favorite blankets and climbed in. So I brought him some pillows and some books.

Naptime!

We were needing to run some errands so I went in to wake Adam up and he looked so cute I had to take a picture!

Gabe is really starting to get a cute personality! You can usually always get him to smile. (except when the camera's out)

When Kyle was taking Adam's pictures wearing Kyle's flips. Adam grabbed the camera and took these 3 pictures!

Adam likes walking around with our flips on. I get a little nervous with mine, cuz they are platform. He is really good at putting them on by himself, it is so cute!!

Doctors Appointment

So yesterday we had doctor appointments for both boys... Thus my first outing with both boys by myself! I keep telling myself I don't know how Mom's handle more than one at a time! Good job for all of you out there!!! So here is the story:

First of all about 30 minutes before I was going to go, Kyle calls and tells me the Jeep died and I need to go pick him up to get a battery. So I go find Kyle, go to Walmart. He and Adam went to get the battery, while I nursed Gabe in a dressing room. Then I call him when I was done. No answer. Kyle keeps his cell phone on vibrate so he doesn't forget to change it at military meetings, etc... So there I am calling and calling as I roam around Walmart, fuming that he doesn't ever have his ringer on, thus never answering the phone cuz he doesn't feel it. I finally find him and his phone had turned off. (which continues to happen, so I am guessing we need to get him a new battery or a new phone... we will see..) So we go back to the Jeep and he changes battery's, Jeep starts and I leave to go to the hospital with the boys.
Here's my thinking... I am running late. Adam's already bored and getting tired. So I am thinking we are going to have SOOOO much fun at the doctors!!! Adam has been really starting to throw tantrums a lot lately! So we get to the office 5 minutes before the appt. (we are supposed to be there 15 min. early) But it's better then being there late. Adam threw a tantrum during the vitals, which is no surprise he does it everytime!! And then he was a little upset right before we went into the room. Come to find out he had pooped and got a rash! So the doctor gave us some cream, which if it was going to happen that's the perfect time! We can get the cream right away instead of waiting a few days. The rash doesn't go away. Then having to call and try to get an appt. etc... So the reason Adam had an appt was because he had liquid in his ear at his 2 year appt. She wanted to check him again to see if it might be a permanent thing going on. She said it might be affecting his hearing and that's why he doesn't talk as much as he probably should be. So she checked and sure enough he had liquid in his ear still. So we need to get his hearing tested before the Ear, nose and throat specialist will see him. I don't know if it will even work because they have a hard enough time just getting a temperature with the ear thermometers. We will see.
She checked Gabe and said he looks good, chunky, but good! He is 14 lbs and 1 oz and 24.41 inches. Then we went to get Gabe's shots. Then the pharmacy, and Tricare. We were third in line at the shot's so I nursed Gabe while Adam was in the stroller. Got the shot, and went to get the number at the pharmacy. Pushed the button. Out came # 451. I looked at the number they were on. It was #401..... So I went to Tricare and got that taken care of, while Adam was in the stroller eating a snack. YEAH FOR SNACKS!!! Then went back to the pharmacy. #425. Any of you that go to military pharmacies know that the active duty people get special treatment and they do more of those then the dependent numbers. So you really have no idea of how long you will be.. From the time I got the number and it was my turn it had been a little over an hour. So I am so glad I went and took care of Tricare while we were waiting!
PRAISES FOR ADAM!! He did so good!!! Over all he did have a few little fits(pulling my hair) But for the most part he was SO GOOD!!! While waiting at the pharmacy he walked back and forth in the waiting room. Back and forth, back and forth. I think he annoyed a few people... but a bunch of people kept coming up and asking if he was mine and telling me that he is so good and cute!! Yeah!! And then the frosting on the top... Gabe slept through the night!!!! I'm sure it's because of the shots.. and won't happen again for awhile... But I got 6 hours straight!!! ( I woke up at 4. I think my body is so use to not getting that much sleep at once. )
So there is my rambling for the year... Since I pretty much just post pictures on this. Or did this open the flood gates?? I guess we will have to wait and see!!

Adam fell and hit his head on the corner of his bed yesterday. You can't really tell, but it is still a little swollen but looking better!!

He is so cute when he smiles, and I keep trying to get him on video. Every time I pull out the camera he stops smiling. So I guess you'll have to see him sneeze instead!

Story time with my boys!!

Favorite Things!!

My friend did a 10 favorite things list and it was so cute so I hope she doesn't mind me copying her!

Adam's 10 Favorite things!

1. Books! He will get a book out and either want us to read it over and over (or book after book) Or he will read it out loud to himself! (which is SO cute!!)

2. He has finally started to play with Balls!! And now I find balls all over the house!

3. Music!! He rocks in his rocking chair and listen to music. Or if I just skip to all the songs in Disney movies he will watch them and want me to play them over and over. He also likes to dance especially with Daddy or Mommy.

4. Puzzles! Adam loves to bring his puzzle pieces to us and ask what they are. His favorites are the numbers and alphabet which he can count to ten (he has a hard time saying seven) and he can say most of the letters. He also has a puzzle of airplanes. He loves to see them in the sky and usually sees them before I do.

5. TV. He loves Sesame Street. Cookie Monster, Grover, Ernie, Bert, and Elmo are his favorites. He also loves Little Bear. (on Noggin) and any Baby Einstein.

6. Winnie the Pooh. He calls him Bah Pooh. He loves anything to do with Pooh Bear.

7. The Moon. He loves the Moon and points it out in everything. On TV, books, and of course when he sees it outside. He also likes the stars which he can say and he says Mmmmm for moon. When we can see the moon at night I try to remember to take him out and say goodnight which he loves and usually will go to bed easier on those nights!

8. Blankets and his big boy bed! He almost always has a blanket with him. Can we say he is my little Linus? he Loves his bed if he is in his room he is usually always either on his bed or in his rocking chair.

9. Dogs. His second word was Dog. He says it like a bark, it is really cute! He loves dogs! Dogs on tv or at the beach or looking out the car window. He loves to see them. He of course loves his own dog!!!

10. Family. He of course loves us! He gives us kisses, including Gabe! He loves to talk to everyone on the phone!


Now My Turn!

1. I love his kisses!!

2. He smiles with his eyes!

3. When he does something he knows he is not supposed to do we count down from 3 then give him timeout. So now when we say 3 he looks at us with those cute eyes and says"2?"

4. I love when I do something ordinary and he thinks it's hilarious and will just laugh and laugh.

5. I love when he snuggles with me. Usually when we rock in the rocking chair before bed.

6. He doesn't do it very often but it's so cute when he falls asleep in the rocking chair.

7. He has started to interact with Gabe a little bit and it's so cute when he says brother.

8. Only recently and not very often does he say it but he has started to say mama.

9. When he lights up just at the sight of me.

10. I know I was always embarrassed about my dimple, but it's so cute on him!!
