Christmas 2010

This year it was kind of a relaxing morning... the boys would play for a while then open something new and play some more.. We took a breakfast break and went back to presents and playing. Both the boys got harmonica's and Adam loves his.. Gabe still isn't to sure of how to make it work.. Adam says he needs to sing a Christmas song. Then makes up random sounds and intermittently plays his harmonica. The pop tubes are a hit with both boys. And the kitchen and table are of course a big hit! Adam loves the cash register. He also couldn't wait to wear his new clothes! Adam loves the capes as well! He loves to watch word world and one of the episodes is Superhero Sheep. So he goes around saying he is Superhero Adam! We also got Your Baby Can Read for Gabe. He loves it! He tries to say all the words! The best ones are baby and gorilla! Love hearing him say gorilla.. so cute!! Adam loves them too. We set Gabe up in one room with the beginning disc and Adam in another room with the next disc up. We had a very fun Christmas Morning!

11th and 12th Days...

OK.. So I kinda dropped the ball... I got sick and haven't really been feeling that great... We've done a few things the last few days.. watched some Christmas movies and the kids did the Christmas tree craft, which turned out pretty cute. (I do have pictures that I will post later...) We have had fun... just Mom hasn't been up to taking pictures and stuff.. oh well we are ready for Christmas!

10th Day

We did the Christmas Crew craft today. I tried to get Adam to hold them up so I could get a picture of him and the craft... but didn't happen...

Same with Gabe... No luck..

So here they are.. We could have done (and might still do some more) a reindeer, angel, soldier, elf, Santa or a snowman. Adam wanted to do Santa and the snowman.

8th Day

So I was a slacker for this day... didn't do anything holidayish...

Adam had a holiday party at school, got some gifts from teachers and the bus company. We put them under the tree to open on Christmas.

Gabe's craft from school is so cute, don't you think? The red nose is a red fuzzy pom pom. Love it!!

We will make up for not doing anything starting Wednesday when Gabe doesn't have school and it's Adam's last day before the holiday break.

7th Day

We need to play catch up on ornaments for the last couple years... so we got personalized ones to make up for some of it..

Ok so.. sugar cookies were on the list to do today... and that didn't end up happening.. but while we were at the mall picking out ornaments, Adam, Gabe and I rode the little train that they had there.. It went from one side of the mall to the other and back. Adam loved it! He had the biggest smile. He picked the blue car to ride in. He had so much fun. It was hard to even get Gabe on the train. He didn't cry... but he was not willing to get on the train by himself.. I got him to get on and he was so nervous the whole time. He held my hand, and had his other hand up. I think he liked it.. but wouldn't let go of my hand. I am a little upset that we didn't have the camera..... We may have to go do it again...

We also saw Santa. Adam was pretty excited to see him! (we didn't wait in line.. but we weren't to far away from him so Adam liked seeing him.. We also went to the food court and the boys had choc chip cookies. and Adam rode a little 3 seater merry go round.

Earlier in the day we stopped at the Post Office to mail a package. And while Kyle was inside the rest of us stayed in the car and sang christmas songs and ate choc animal crackers. I asked Adam what he wanted Santa to bring him for Christmas. He said "Presents."

and what type of presents do you want, and he said "2."

5th Day

Finished the snowman ornaments, and did the reindeer craft.

4th Day

We danced to Christmas Music!

Their favorite song was Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Adam is learning this song at school so he is always excited to hear it, and sing along. Gabriel likes to hum along too.

It's snowing today.. so tonight will be an excellent night for Hot Chocolate!

Adam did such a good job. I would take the paper off the back of the stickers and he would put them on his picture!

Gabriel helped me push the stickers to the paper. This is a picture of him taking them off.

We listed what we are doing on the pieces of paper. Adam was excited that they were numbered. He is such a good helper!

12 Days of Christmas

Every year I have all these ideas of what I want to do during Christmas time.. Then all of a sudden it's New Year's and I didn't do most of them.. So this year I am going to be doing the 12 days of Christmas with my kids. Everyday we are going to do something to celebrate Christmas. I thought I would list some of the things and maybe give you ideas for things you can do for your family as well. (Most of this is geared toward my 4 year old...)

We are going to make a paper chain with all the things on it the day before it starts.
