DC

Kyle and I went to The National Mall. We took the MARC (Maryland Area Regional Commuter) or the train. We got there and walked to the Capital building first.
Then it started raining so we walked to the National Gallery of Art.
(So don't mind my hair in the pics.. the rain did a number on it...)
At the National Art museum we saw pieces by: Renoir, Matisse, Degas, Cezanne, Monet,Manet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Lautrec, Rodin, among others.. It was quite amazing.

Then we ate lunch at the National Museum of the American Indian. I wish I would have taken a picture of the building, very cool! (you can kind of see it on the link)

Then the rain stopped and we walked and walked and walked to see the rest of the monuments.

This is the World War II Memorial.
With the Washington Monument in the background.

The pillar in the picture says Utah.

That is awesome that you were able to go there! That would be great to live that close to those places:)

I loved all the monuments and didn't get to go to the museums. That was 45 years ago and I know things have changed. DUH! I need to come back there with Dad and see the sights.
